Upcoming Webinar on Buying Value
As more states shift to value-based purchasing in their Medicaid programs, accurately and efficiently measuring the performance of health care providers becomes more important than ever. Poor alignment of quality metrics can hinder states from being able to make apples-to-apples comparisons and lessen the impact of value-based initiatives. To that end, SHVS hosted a webinar last fall on how states can develop aligned quality measure sets, based off an issue brief from Bailit Health Purchasing and featuring the work of Buying Value.
To assist states with the creation of measure sets, the Buying Value project launched an Online Measure Selection tool last year, serving as a decision-making aid for state purchasers and funded by RWJF. For 2015, the tool has been updated with revisions in four key federal measure sets and the addition of two additional state measure sets.
On Tuesday, February 24, the Buying Value team will host a new webinar, showcasing updates to the tool and providing general tips on how states can get the most from this unique resource.
